Occupational therapy in schools
Open Arms Support Services offer schools a bespoke service as no two cohorts are the same. We believe that our service needs to be flexible and child centred in order to promote and encourage children to access learning. Our occupational therapists are able to work with children on a one to one basis, in groups or with their family.
Each child receives a non-standardised bio-psychosocial assessment which is a multi-faceted approach and includes the development of therapeutic goals. Bespoke interventions are then created and underpinned by occupational therapy literature and research.
Open Arms Support Services do not have a lower threshold, meaning that we will work with the children that are prioritised by education staff.
